- Other Services -
Architectural Design

We can design alterations or new builds for any type of house / small business. Our architectural style is varied and depends on building, client and brief.

Basically, this is a flexible service and your requirements will be discussed before a price can be quoted.

We provide a more package based service of this type in our Layout Proposals product.

3D Virtual Modelling

3D virtual models are proving very popular methods of realising proposed architectural designs. These offer the ability to preview building designs with changing camera angles and walk-throughs giving you a feel of walking through the building as if it were already built.

This service can be used for a proposed OR existing building, but it is a translation from architectural drawings, therefore is not realistically a stand-alone service. Price is dependant on the complexity and size of a building so cannot be quoted before a discussion of the requirements.

The 3D models can be viewed in easy to use software such as 'Google Sketchup Viewer'. The viewer and the model come together on a CD given to you.

This is a great add-on service for any architectural design service offered by us.

Spatial Study
We survey you property and take a detailed brief of your requirements concerning the way in which you live or work in the building. We then produce a drawn assessment of the usage of the space and produce drawn ideas for improved/more efficient spatial use.

Feasibility Study

'millennium3 design studio' offers the small/medium developer the ability and experience to carry out feasibility studies into the optimum use of a site.

Our skillbase includes architectural design, understanding of planning matters, qualifications in both SAP calculation and Code for Sustainable Homes (CSH) assessments and knowledge of the Homes + Communties Agency (HCA) approach to the creation of sustainable communities.

While we are concerned mainly with the design of housing sites, our feasibility studies can include for other building types.

We are particularly happy to undertake design studies for the smaller, more problematic sites which can be especially relevant to existing communites, whether in towns or countryside.

Our lead architect has amassed a deal of experience of working with builders/developers over the last few years and m3 is able to add to this experience with our input on sustainable + energy saving matters. We are also, of course, able to advise on the impact of CSH requirements.

Sustainability Study
This is a report which is increasingly being required as part of any planning submission. It is especially necessary for developers' housing schemes, works within green-belt zones such as conversions of barns into housing.

Our sustainability study includes all the criteria needed for planning submission and has been successfully used in recent planning submissions.

The sustainability study includes:

An initial assessment under The Code for Sustainable Homes - mandatory items.
Energy and emissions proposals and performance sheets per dwelling with sample SAP calculation details.
Materials specification sheets showing materials and equipment which form the basis of the sustainability study.
Completed sustainability checklists if required for the submission.

The study is included in our Complete Design Route product if required.
